One of Latin America’s most distinctive progressive rock bands arrives in Stratford.
Formed in Lima in 1998, Flor de Loto fuse progressive rock and heavy metal with the traditional sounds of the Andes. Heavy guitar riffs, intricate arrangements and soaring flute melodies combine in a sound memorably described by renowned producer Roy Z as “what would have happened if Iron Maiden met Jethro Tull in the ruins of Machu Picchu.”
Across more than two decades, the band have built an international following and collaborated with artists including Arthur Brown, Ray Alder, Fabio Lione and Mike DiMeo.
A rare London appearance from a band bringing the spirit and musical heritage of Peru into powerful, genuinely original progressive metal.
