The David Kofi Experience: Live at Soul Mama

David Kofi is a London-based pianist and artist whose music flows from gospel roots into a rich blend of jazz, soul, and R&B. His playing is both spiritual and grounded, known for drawing in audiences with deep harmonies, storytelling, and improvisation.



With a sound shaped by years in the church and a love for emotionally honest music, David has carved a unique path in the UK jazz scene. His Kokoro EP series draws on the Japanese philosophy of heart, soul, and mind, and has become a signature part of his catalogue. Alongside collaborations with artists such as James Mollison (Ezra Collective), he’s been featured on Jazz FM, Soho Radio, Times Radio, and BBC Radio.




David’s live presence continues to grow, recently performing at Brick Lane Jazz Festival (2024) and headlining the Wycombe Jazz Festival (2025). A sold-out show at the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room led to his 2023 live EP Live at Late Night Jazz, and his next project, The David Kofi Experience: Live at the Royal Albert Hall, is set for release in autumn 2025.
