Alan Fletcher has worked as an actor and musician for more than 45 years in Australia and the United Kingdom.
 As an actor, Alan is a household name because of his portrayal of Dr Karl Kennedy for 31 years on the iconic Australian drama Neighbours.

 As a musician, Alan has performed as a front man for rock band Waiting Room that played a weekly residency in Melbourne for twelve years and toured the UK ten times over eight years.

 In 2020 Alan moved away from Rock and commenced a solo career in Americana/ Alt-Country and Folk. Collaborating with producers Lachlan Bryan and Damian Cafarella Alan’s initial releases include the EP ‘Dispatches in 2023 and the album ‘The Point’ in 2024. Throughout 2025 Alan released the singles Back to School, Ain’t Done Yet and Him and Me as well as an EP Let’s Talk About Love. These singles and the EP are a preview for Alan’s second album ‘Back to School’ releasing in February 2025.

The Alan Fletcher Band has become a regular on the UK/ Ireland tour scene playing 20 sell-out dates in venues the length and breadth of the country, including a performance at the prestigious Kendal Calling Festival in Lowther. In 2025 Alan’s band played 34 dates throughout the UK and Ireland playing to thousands of enthusiastic supporters and Americana music fans

Alan also has a passion for Christmas music releasing four original tracks to date including his Aussie themed holiday song “It’s Gonna be a Good Christmas” 
Alan has also been a regular performer at Tamworth Country Music Festival since 2019 and will appear at the Press Basement Bar at the Festival in 2026
