Hardwicke Circus, Carlisle's proudest rock export and one of the UK's hardest-gigging bands, re-
turn to the fore following their unique, intrepid and life-changing frontline tour of Ukraine with an
irresistible new single and their next studio album in the works.

One of the most vibrant British groups to emerge in recent years, their stirring tunes laced with
harmony, romance and humour have won comparisons with the brio of the E Street Band, the dy-
namism of Dexys and the civic pride of The Waterboys, but with an authenticity that's all their own.

Now they're starting a new chapter with the 1st August release of one of their catchiest songs to
date, 'Hollow,' as the first taste of the upcoming new album to be titled The Missionary Position.
In an amazing transatlantic collaboration, the single was produced by storied British record man
Alan Winstanley (Elvis Costello, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Madness ) and John McFee, not only a
member of US rock staples the Doobie Brothers since the late 1970s but the man who played thememorable guitar motif on Elvis Costello's 'Alison.' McFee was also part of the rhythm section on
Van Morrison's immortal Tupelo Honey album among countless other distinguished credits.
