About Slipknot
Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa. Formed in 1995, the band is composed of nine members: Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison, Paul Gray, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn Crahan, Mick Thomson, and Corey Taylor. The band has released five studio albums, two live albums, two compilation albums, one video album, and twenty-one singles.
Biography
Slipknot was formed in 1995 by Shawn Crahan and Paul Gray. The band was originally composed of seven members: Shawn Crahan, Paul Gray, Joey Jordison, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, and Sid Wilson. The band released its self-titled debut album in 1999, and it was met with critical and commercial success. The band's second album, Iowa, was released in 2001 and was even more successful than their debut. Following the release of Iowa, the band released two more albums, Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses (2004) and All Hope Is Gone (2008).
