Biography:
Tiësto is a Dutch DJ and record producer. Born Tijs Michiel Verwest in Breda, Netherlands, he began DJing professionally at age 14. He has released six studio albums, and is one of the world's best-selling DJs, having sold over 20 million records worldwide. He has also performed at some of the world's largest music festivals, including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and Electric Daisy Carnival.
Musical Career:
Tiësto began his career as a DJ in the early 1990s, playing at local clubs in the Netherlands. He gained international recognition in the early 2000s, when he became the first DJ to hold a solo concert in a stadium, at the Gelredome in Arnhem, Netherlands. Since then, he has gone on to become one of the world's most sought-after DJs, performing at some of the biggest music festivals around the world.
Influences:
Tiësto's music is heavily influenced by trance and house music, as well as techno and progressive house. He is also a fan of classical music, which he often incorporates into his sets. His style has been described as "energetic and uplifting," and he has been credited with helping to popularize the trance genre.
