About

I’m a Blues Rock/Classic Rock guitarist inspired by the legends — the soul of B.B. King, the fire of Stevie Ray Vaughan, the imagination of Jimi Hendrix, and the unmistakable touch of Eric Clapton. My playing lives where blues tradition meets classic‑rock attitude, pulling from the raw swagger of Billy Gibbons, the riff‑driven power of Jimmy Page, and the emotional depth of David Gilmour.

Improvisation is my home base. I love chasing the moment — bending notes until they speak, stretching phrases until they breathe, and letting the guitar respond like a voice of its own. I draw from the elegance of Buddy Guy, the atmospheric colors of Robin Trower, the melodic drama of Ritchie Blackmore, and the Southern‑rock grit of Gary Rossington. Every solo is a conversation: part instinct, part storytelling, part lightning strike.

I’m not chasing perfection. I’m chasing feel — the kind of playing that hits you in the chest, not just the ears. Big bends, vocal‑like vibrato, dynamic shifts, and tone that reacts to every touch. Whether it’s a slow blues, a heavy groove, or a wide‑open jam, I play with heart first and technique second.

My influences are a long list, but they all share one thing: they played with honesty. That’s what I aim for every time I plug in — to make the guitar cry, shout, whisper, and testify.

My hope is to connect with fellow musicians and let the Music Gods take things to the highest levels possible. Fun and good conversation are important on this journey and I hope we can create some good times.

Onward and Upward…LET’S ROCK!!!

My influences

Love Classic Rock and Blues Rock. Growing up it was all about bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, J Geils Band, Judas Priest, ZZ Top, Robin Trower, Steppenwolf, Grand Funk Railroad, even Kiss. The list goes on and on. Later, as I started playing guitar, the list grew big time. Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy, BB King, Eddie Van Halen (always) and so many more iconic bands. I’ve evolved in many ways through the years, but my memories of these classic performers are burned into my Soul…and that’s just alright with me. ENJOY!!!

My equipment

Fender is my main brand. Big on Strats…naturally they are hot rodded out. Let the Beast Sing!!! Recently got my Tele supercharged…She’s a Growler now…YAH!!! Got to have a Les Paul for bending walls with power chords. Not much of an acoustic player, but do possess a Martin and a Zager. I use them when I give group lessons. Got some lesser models, but they’re not really in the lineup. Amps range from Fender, Vox, Bulgera, Supra, BlackStar (nice piece), Boss. I think that’s it. Memory is a little off from life in the 70’s and 80’s. I am equipped for minor mixes and performance. I am looking to get back out and spread my wings again…Been locked into teaching and I think I might gettin’ a case of stir crazy. All good…Keep Moving Forward!!!

Ask for recommendations and musical repertoire

When finding the right musician for your performance, make sure to ask for recommendations and check their musical repertoire. Ask the musician to show you videos of past events and performances, so you can get a good idea of the standard they can offer. Also, make sure to double-check if the artist is comfortable in different music genres before signing a contract. By taking your time when searching and conducting research, you will soon find an amazing musician who will truly help make your performance shine!

Listen to audition reels

Before starting to collaborate with a musician, it's important to listen carefully to their audition reels. This type of recording can give you an insight into the level of professionalism and talent they bring to the stage. Ask the musician to provide you with samples of their musical repertoire, so that you can make sure it fits with your event's style and theme. Listening to these recordings will also help you determine whether or not the musician has proper technique for your performance needs.
