Dr Wook & The Hollow Pines

 Dr. Wook (Kris Douglas) is a Highlands songwriter weaving together folk tradition, Americana grit, and deeply personal storytelling. With The Hollow Pines, his music stretches from stripped-back acoustic ballads into expansive, electrified soundscapes — rich with harmony, lap steel, and a driving rock energy. The band’s upcoming EP Sons & Daughters explores fatherhood, family, and resilience — themes that run like threads through his work.

On stage, Dr. Wook & The Hollow Pines are as dynamic as they are versatile — equally at home in hushed listening rooms or delivering soaring, electric performances on festival stages. Recent highlights include a slot at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2025 (Moose Hollow Potting Shed, Aug 1st) and a headline show at An Seòmar, Inverness (Dec 28th) with support from The Northern Waters & Willie Macaskill.
