To celebrate the release of their second EP - The Listening Body. Billie will be performing
with along with a five-piece band to give their songs the full impact they deserve. Combining
arpeggiated electric guitar, synth, and experimental drums with rich, complex vocals. Making
the set simultaneously uplifting and emotive.
Billie’s music reaches deep into the shadows and nurtures the forgotten parts back into
awareness. Their creativity is deeply rooted in collaboration with the natural world. Hugely
inspired by nature, this next EP brings together field recordings gathered from time spent
outdoors, rivers, birds, and the sea. Each one transformed into musical elements.
The EP is being released in collaboration with Sounds Right and EarthPercent, organisations that
recognise Nature as an artist by featuring them on the song. Billie’s music acts as a quiet
form of activism, inviting deep listening, gently reminding us that we are not separate from
nature but innately connected to it.
The music of the evening will reflect Billie’s influences from their love of electronic textures,
organic instrumentation and this connection to nature.
Their style can best be described as a blend of ethereal jazz and alternative pop, with a
refreshing flair of compelling and imaginative folk songwriting. Billie has been likened to
London Grammar, Florence and The Machine and Aurora.
