Chip Wickham is a Brighton-born saxophonist, flautist and producer whose work spans UK breakbeat, spiritual jazz and contemporary soul-jazz. After early collaborations with artists across the UK downtempo and hip-hop scene, he established a lasting creative partnership with Gondwana Records, first appearing on Matthew Halsall’s debut album in 2008. Dividing his time between the UK, Spain and the Middle East, Wickham has built an international reputation through a series of richly textured solo releases blending 1960s British jazz influences with modern cinematic production. His fourth Gondwana album, The Eternal Now, showcases his most progressive and rhythm-driven sound to date, combining flute-led compositions, spiritual depth and expansive contemporary arrangements.
