I come from a musical family. I started piano at 6, while it was not my instrument of choice, it was helpful with my early basic music theory. I started playing guitar in my early teens. I played trumpet in middle school band. I played Trumpet & French Horn in band, marched Trumpet, Mellophone, Bass Drum in the marching band, and played guitar in the Jazz and Pep bands. In my early 20's I played in a great little rock n roll band called "Inner Peace" in northern Indiana. We played several ABATE shows including taking 3rd in a battle of the bands (early 90's) where we were the opening act. The crowd response was measured to see who won. We felt pretty good being the opening act, drawing the crowd, and taking 3rd place. Life got heavy, raised some kids, financed my family, bought some property, and am now back to doing for myself more. I take playing my guitar pretty seriously, I practice daily, some more than others, but I make a conscious effort to play daily. I'd love to use what I know and collaborate, jam, or write some music. I have a good understanding of theory and love to discuss music.

I play my early 90's Fernendes LE-2 Strat through my 1972 Fender Twin Reverb. I have plenty of power. I run into my BOSS Tuner, Dunlop Wah, MXR Dyna Comp, BOSS FZ-5 Fuzz, BOSS BD-2 Blues driver, Rat ProCo Distortion, BOSS Chorus, BOSS HF-2 Hi Band Flanger, and EHX Memory Boy. I also have my Shure SM-58 Mic and stand. I do a little recording on my laptop at home with my FocusRite Scarlett. I have a Guild acoustic, orchestra model as well. I use Ableton as my DAW.

Tu peux lui demander de te montrer des vidéos de ses répétitions ou concerts passés, afin que tu puisses te faire une bonne idée de son niveau et voir dans quel genre musical le musicien est le plus à l'aise. En prenant ton temps pour chercher un musicien, tu trouveras bientôt un musicien incroyable qui va faire briller tes prochaines performances !
Ecoute des extraits de ses audios
Avant de commencer à collaborer avec un musicien, il est important d'écouter attentivement des extraits audio. Ce type d'enregistrement peut te donner un aperçu de son niveau et de ce qu'il pourra t'apporter sur scène par exemple. Demande au musicien de te fournir des échantillons de son répertoire musical, afin que tu puisses t'assurer qu'il correspond à ton style. L'écoute de ces enregistrements t'aidera également à déterminer si le musicien a la bonne technique pour tes besoins.
