London's own symphonic power metal titans return to the capital. Since their debut supporting Tarja, Pythia have been a "power player" in the genre, lauded by Metal Temple (9/10) for their "extreme symphonic power metal" that eschews traditional operatic clichés for a heavier, darker edge. Now fronted by the "impeccable" Sophie Dorman, they bring the thundering riffs of Shadows of a Broken Past and the "enchanting melodies" of their recent Unhallowed trilogy to the stage. Self-described as "Periphery meets Disney," Birmingham’s Vanitas are the pioneers of "cinematic djent." Highlighted by BBC Introducing as "Ones to Watch," their sound is a maximalist blend of progressive metal and video game-inspired orchestration (think Dark Souls meets Devin Townsend). Following the success of their 2025 EP Journey to the Sun, Noizze UK praised their "instrumental wizardry" and charismatic frontwoman Jade Maris.
